Purpose
Use this guide to upload website files to your hosting account using File Manager or FTP.
Before you begin
Make sure you have a backup of your current website before replacing files.
Steps using File Manager
Log in to your hosting control panel.
Open File Manager.
Open the website document-root folder, commonly named public_html or the folderassigned to your domain.
Select Upload.
Choose the website files from your computer.
Extract any ZIP archive if required.
Confirm that the website’s main file, often index.html or index.php, is in the correctdocument-root folder.
Expected result
Your uploaded files appear in the website folder and your site loads from the relevant domain.
Common issues
A blank directory or default page often means files were uploaded to the wrong folder.
A missing homepage can occur if index.html or index.php is not in the document root.
Incorrect file permissions can prevent files from loading; contact support if you areunsure.
